Edward J. Williams, V

Edward leads The Property Tax Group’s efforts to manage the full property tax lifecycle for our clients. Prior to leading The Property Tax Group, Edward spent time as a Director at KPMG focusing on applying emerging technology to alternative assets, and at Vida Capital, where he focused on alternative asset valuation, deal structuring and execution – ultimately deploying more than $2 billion dollars of investor capital into high quality assets. Prior to Vida, Edward was at Deloitte running global change management and regulatory compliance projects for multinational financial institutions. He started his career with The Property Tax Group and is excited to come full circle and help build the future of the firm.

Edward received his Master’s degree from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and his undergraduate degree from Southwestern University. Edward holds the State of Texas Certified Tax Consultant designation.


Ed J. Williams, IV

Ed founded the firm in 2002. Ed has extensive experience in all facets of property tax consulting, including valuation for industrial, office, retail, multi-family, and hotel properties for ad valorem tax purposes. His most recent focus is on medical facilities, the hospitality industry, and complex industrial properties. Previous to developing TPTG, Ed was a Partner with the consulting company Rainbolt, Alexander, & Williams LLP. Prior to co-founding the partnership, Ed served as a Tax Manager of the Houston office of Deloitte & Touche LLP’s property tax practice. 

Ed graduated from The University of Texas at Austin and holds the State of Texas Senior Certified Tax Consultant designation. He has been in the property tax field since 1986.
